EVERY DAY, PARENTS AND CARERS PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE. IT’S GETTING HARDER. OUR KIDS DESERVE A FOOD SYSTEM THEY CAN COUNT ON.
IT’S GETTING HARDER TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE
The weekly shop is costing more and more. Floods, droughts and heatwaves are hitting UK farms and harvests, and the same extreme weather is hitting the countries we import much of our food from. These shocks end up in our kitchens and in our children’s lunchboxes.
In October 2026, more than 150 experts, food organisations and community groups warned the government that the UK has no plan to feed people in a crisis.
THE GOVERNMENT HAS THE POWER TO CHANGE THIS
In March 2026 the government published England’s first Land Use Framework, committing to food security alongside nature recovery.
Now it needs to deliver.
Parents and carers across the UK are coming together to ask for one thing: food our children can count on.
